WHO WE ARE

History

Our history dates back to the 19th Century, when Jan Pieczara engaged in wood processing, producing wheels and barrels. His son Stanisław, who developed his skills after attending school in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, took over his love for the profession. After graduating in the 1930s, he started a sawmill and veneer factory in Ciężkowice. Unfortunately, WWII stopped the growth of the young enterprise, while the period of communist Polish People’s Republic stopped its operations entirely by requisitioning most of the machines. Young and ambitious Stanisław did not give up, changing the profile of the company.

He decided to focus on the production of units, requiring large manual skills. The plant operated in this fashion until his death in 1981. In the 1980s, the company was taken over by Marek Pieczara, who, taking advantage of the diminishing restrictions concerning privately-owned business, began to gradually increase employment, which in turn lead to an increase in the company’s turnover. The 90’s saw a dynamic development of the company. The change of regime in Poland, the introduction of the free market and the opening of borders allowed the owner to purchase materials and machinery that were hitherto unavailable, and consequently to introduce contemporary global solutions.

The next decade was the time of large investments in devices and machines that were to automate production and increase the quality of the products. The key changes were replacing multi-spindle drills manually controlled by the operator with saws with automatic CNC devices (numerically controlled machining centers). The challenges that we set for 2010 to 2020 are the consolidation of the company in one location and management organizational changes. The commissioning of the new office in 2013 completed the consolidation process – from this moment all operations are carried out in one place, and production has become more effective due to easier supervision. Organizational changes focused mainly on improving planning by introducing the original ERP system and using the Kaizen philosophy.
